About the role
- In this role, Senior Account Managers oversee multiple account teams, managing both high-level strategy and day-to-day execution across media relations and integrated programs.
- They ensure communications strategies are forward-thinking, results-driven, and aligned with client business objectives.
- Strong writing, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the technology media landscape are essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day account lead for up to 5 B2B technology clients, ensuring exceptional client service and account management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier technology and business press.
- Ensure accurate client billing, recoup client expenses, and maintain account status.
- Participate in program execution as appropriate, including writing/editing, media relations, social media, digital communications, and crisis support.
- Lead strategic media and analyst relations programs for B2B technology clients across sectors including enterprise software, cloud, AI, security, and data.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier business, technology, and trade journalists, as well as key industry analysts.
- Oversee measurement and reporting of media performance to ensure programs deliver meaningful visibility and business impact.
- Attend networking events, seminars, and conferences relevant to technology and communications, including occasional out-of-hours events, to maintain professional development and build relationships.
- Establish and maintain a focus area within agency support, such as digital strategy, social media, or technology-specific communications initiatives.
- Maintain a respectful, enthusiastic, and professional attitude toward coworkers, clients, and external partners.
Compensation
- Develop and manage monthly/annual budgets and team priority allocations.
- Manage up to 2 direct reports, set goals, conduct quarterly check-ins, and deliver annual reviews.
- Lead at least one agency-wide training annually and participate in trainings as needed.
