About the role

  • McKee Foods is seeking a skilled Electronic Maintenance Technician to join our Plant Engineering team.
  • This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic and electrical production equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • The technician will also support preventive maintenance efforts, maintain compliance with safety and quality standards, and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Work across various areas of the facility as needed to support operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with associates, departments, and management to support production needs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Maintain reliable attendance in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform preventive and general maintenance in assigned areas.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with computers, including:
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
  • Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and ability to interpret schematics, ladder diagrams, and technical prints.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation related to work performed.

Nice to have

  • At least 1 year of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
  • At least 1 year of industrial electrical/electronics experience.
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC) and its applications.
  • Ability to install conduit and determine proper circuit protection.
  • Working knowledge of PLC technologies and basic networking principles.
  • Experience with I/O server protocols, industrial robotics, and servo/motion control systems.
  • Proficiency in maintenance software systems.
  • Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics or an equivalent qualification, such as:

  • Carry and maintain necessary tools for job duties.

  • $33k-$41k
