About the role
- McKee Foods is seeking a skilled Electronic Maintenance Technician to join our Plant Engineering team.
- This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic and electrical production equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities
- The technician will also support preventive maintenance efforts, maintain compliance with safety and quality standards, and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical/electronic equipment.
- Work across various areas of the facility as needed to support operations.
- Collaborate effectively with associates, departments, and management to support production needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Maintain reliable attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Perform preventive and general maintenance in assigned areas.
Requirements
- Proficiency with computers, including:
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
- Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and ability to interpret schematics, ladder diagrams, and technical prints.
- Accurately complete all required documentation related to work performed.
Nice to have
- At least 1 year of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
- At least 1 year of industrial electrical/electronics experience.
- Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC) and its applications.
- Ability to install conduit and determine proper circuit protection.
- Working knowledge of PLC technologies and basic networking principles.
- Experience with I/O server protocols, industrial robotics, and servo/motion control systems.
- Proficiency in maintenance software systems.
- Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics or an equivalent qualification, such as:
