About the role

- Identify where processes are manual, inconsistent, or undocumented, and fix them before they become problems at scale.
Responsibilities
- People Operations: own onboarding and off-boarding end-to-end
- own workplace policy and governance in partnership with outside employment counsel
- Employee Experience and Workplace: Run the SF office end-to-end, including building management, facilities, vendor relationships, and office moves. Beyond the physical, help build company culture and employee experience through team events, offsites, and more.
- Operational Infrastructure: Maintain SOPs, internal documentation, and the company wiki.
- Own how the company thinks about operational infrastructure: which tools we bet on, where we invest in the process before we need it, and how we structure ourselves to scale.
- IT and Internal Systems: stand up and own the company's MDM
- manage device procurement, identity, and the internal tech stack
- build automations to eliminate manual work.
- Compliance and Security: project manage security audit (SOC 2), support business insurance, and ongoing compliance with state and federal employment requirements.
- People Operations: own onboarding and off-boarding end-to-end; coordinate immigration matters with outside immigration counsel; own workplace policy and governance in partnership with outside employment counsel
Requirements
- 3-6 years in internal ops or chief-of-staff roles at high-growth startups, including time at Series A through Series C stages
- Comfort with ambiguity and pace
Compensation
- $25k-$60k
