About the role

  • In this role, you'll build end-to-end product features that make it easier for engineers to ship and operate software, combining customer-facing UI/API work with improvements to workflows, reliability, and the day-to-day internal developer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product and Design to clarify requirements, make tradeoffs, and deliver in small, high-quality increments.
  • Participate in the on call rotation, and help drive follow-ups that reduce repeat incidents and make the system easier to operate.
  • Partner with our customer-facing engineering team to investigate customer issues and deliver fixes or improvements when needed.
  • you identify what's blocking you, take ownership, and drive to get unblocked.
  • You're invested in team ownership - you care about what your teammates are building, not just your own work.

Requirements

  • You communicate extremely well - you are clear, effective, and proactive in your communication, both speaking and in writing.
  • Technical Expertise
  • You have strong software engineering fundamentals and coding ability, and comfort working across a fullstack codebase.
  • You are a prolific and thoughtful developer in at least one mainstream language, and can pick up new languages/frameworks quickly.
  • You are comfortable working in cloud infrastructure or distributed systems.

Nice to have

  • You have experience shipping production software as a fullstack engineer (targeting mid-level to Senior II).
  • Developer tools experience is a plus.

Skills

  • deployment, observability, cost, security, reliability - all of that has to scale too, and LLMs don't yet solve the problem.
