About the role

  • Professors primarily spend their time planning and delivering the learning experiences that guide students towards learning course objectives, creating innovative works and graduating as ethical technologists.
  • Professors are masters of the YRBL methodology and effectively use all of its elements every day while mentoring students in ways that provide them with an exceptionally satisfying collegiate experience.
  • Using UAT's systems, Professors provide timely and continuous feedback to students while focusing on helping all of them achieve every learning objective.

Requirements

  • candidates must be willing to work in-person at our campus in Tempe, AZ.

Nice to have

  • Doctorate preferred
  • A combination of the below skills are preferred:
  • Master's degree in robotics or relevant field with 18 credit hours in robotics required

Skills

  • ARM microcontroller architecture and programming
  • Mechanical engineering fundamental concepts
  • Simple physical analysis (torque, kinematics, etc.)
  • Components used to create a complex mechanism
  • Digital Vision and Sensor processing
  • Detection / Sending methods in robots
  • Computer control (for both fixed-wing and rotorcraft aerial vehicles)
  • Flight mechanics and electronic control of flight
  • Software techniques for controlling flying vehicles
  • creating fully autonomous ground vehicle that can learn, memorize, track and intercept a given object
  • Mechanical drafting and design
  • Design for electromagnetic interference

Compensation

  • Full-Time Salary + Benefits: $85k-$110k dependent on Education and Experience.

  • The Robotics Professor is directly responsible for developing and delivering courses that ensure UAT students achieve their program's learning outcomes, complete their programs and have an exceptional YRBL learning experience.
  • As a teaching faculty member, Professors work with their peers and the Faculty Council to improve their courses while examining feedback from advisors, students and performance data.
