Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of complex journal entries Account for ceded and assumed reinsurance transactions, including premiums, losses, commissions and recoverables Perform and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances Prepare quarterly reporting to reinsurers Reconcile reinsurance balances with brokers, reinsurers, and internal systems Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly variance reporting to support leadership and FP&A Prepare and review GAAP and statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards Support internal, external, and regulatory audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and footnote disclosures Prepare schedule F and assist with other regulatory filings Maintain, document, and enhance internal accounting processes and controls Identify control gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen financial reporting integrity Partner with cross-functional teams and serve as a trusted accounting resource

4+ years of progressive accounting experience
insurance industry experience required Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, statutory accounting, and Yellow Book reporting Advanced Excel proficiency required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested formulas)
Master's degree preferred Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require employer sponsorship (limited to U.S.
