About the role

  • BioLegend is looking for a Research Associate to join the Exploratory R&D team.
  • The Research Associate will be involved in new cell culture reagent product development and supporting existing products.
  • Conduct experiments and analyze results independently

Responsibilities

  • Design the experiment together with the supervisor scientists
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with teams including R&D, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Control

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience working in an academic or industry laboratory
  • 1-2+ years of cell culturing experience
  • 1-2+ years of experience with SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and flow cytometry
  • Candidates must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy while being able to maintain good documentation practices and generate reports.
  • In addition, this role requires proficiency in computer software use (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Other projects or responsibilities may be required

Nice to have

  • Experience culturing and handling primary cells such as PBMCs and adult stem/progenitor cells.
  • Experience in cell-based assays
  • Experience in development or characterization of antibodies (Ig quantification, flow cytometry, etc.)
  • This role requires mammalian cell culture experience while knowledge of process development for reagents such as small- & large-scale antibody production is a plus.

  • The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
