About the role
- BioLegend is looking for a Research Associate to join the Exploratory R&D team.
- The Research Associate will be involved in new cell culture reagent product development and supporting existing products.
- Conduct experiments and analyze results independently
Responsibilities
- Design the experiment together with the supervisor scientists
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with teams including R&D, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Control
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience working in an academic or industry laboratory
- 1-2+ years of cell culturing experience
- 1-2+ years of experience with SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and flow cytometry
- Candidates must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy while being able to maintain good documentation practices and generate reports.
- In addition, this role requires proficiency in computer software use (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Other projects or responsibilities may be required
Nice to have
- Experience culturing and handling primary cells such as PBMCs and adult stem/progenitor cells.
- Experience in cell-based assays
- Experience in development or characterization of antibodies (Ig quantification, flow cytometry, etc.)
- This role requires mammalian cell culture experience while knowledge of process development for reagents such as small- & large-scale antibody production is a plus.

- The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
