About the role

  • This Crude Oil Scheduler position is located at Marathon Petroleum Company's Houston Office.
  • This position requires expertise in logistics and supply chain management, inventory control, scheduling systems, and data analysis, along with a commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage nominations, inventory positions, receipts, deliveries, and transportation schedules.
  • Monitor and optimize refinery, terminal, and pipeline inventories to ensure uninterrupted crude supply.
  • Collaborate with commercial, operations, accounting, and external partners to execute supply plans and resolve logistics issues.
  • Analyze transportation constraints, operational risks, and market conditions to support efficient scheduling decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or five (5) years of related experience in lieu
  • Two (2) or more years of industry-related experience required.
  • Four (4) or more years of industry-related experience required
  • Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment are essential.
