About the role

  • We are seeking a diligent and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team.
  • As the Project Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all our construction activities comply with safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to develop safety plans for each project.
  • Support project teams and job sites primarily across the Rio Grande Valley.

Requirements

  • Ability to teach, coach, and mentor others on established safety standards and safe work practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Procore, and other construction-related software applications.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 Certification required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to project sites as required.
  • Provide safety training to employees, subcontractors, and other personnel as required.

Nice to have

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
