About the role

- We are seeking a driven, resilient, and detail‑oriented Mechanical Designer who thrives in complex, multidisciplinary settings.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various project teams and stakeholders
- Design for manufacturability and maintenance
- Create 3D CAD production models
- Create 2D drawings using GD&T according to ASME Y14.5
- Perform additional job duties as assigned
- Design components and assemblies to meet project requirements

Requirements
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in design, or related field, with 5-10 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred experience in life support engineering or similar role
- Proficient in 3D and 2D CAD environments (preferably, SolidWorks)
- Track record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges
- Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high quality results
- High EQ and ability to collaborate within teams and cross-functionally
