About the role
- Shining Stars Montessori Academy Public Charter School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Primary Guide to join our dynamic team for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Foster grace and courtesy, independence, concentration, and peaceful conflict resolution.
- Supervise students throughout the school day, including transitions and outdoor learning.
Responsibilities
- MONTESSORI PRIMARY LEAD GUIDE(Grades PK3- Kindergarten;Ages 3-5)
- Montessori Primary Lead Guide
- Prepare and maintain a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment.
- Deliver individualized and small-group lessons aligned to Montessori philosophy and bilingual immersion practices.
- Support students' academic, social, emotional, and language development.
- Maintain accurate attendance, observation notes, progress monitoring, and student records in compliance with school, OSSE, and DCPCSB requirements.
- Collaborate with assistants, interventionists, specialists, and school leadership to support student success.
- Maintain professional communication with families and colleagues.
- Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication and conferences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working in diverse urban school communities
- Familiarity with DCPCSB and OSSE expectations.
- Required
- Montessori Primary Credential (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited equivalent)
- Commitment to authentic Montessori education
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Preferred
- Master's degree
- Two or more years of Montessori classroom experience
- Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on education, credentials, and experience
Compensation
- Starts at $61,400-$95,100 and is commensurate with degree(s) earned, licenses, credentials, and experience.
