About the role
- We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector to assure consistent quality of production by using and enforcing good manufacturing practice systems.
- Assists in identifying parts deficiencies and helps to prevent further recurrences.
- Responsibly handle "stop the job" authority at any stage of process.
Responsibilities
- Perform sampling inspection.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the inspection areas.
- Perform inspection of Alkaline Clean Type III. Proper color change, absence of smut residue.
- Perform Adhesion Testing requirements.
Requirements
- Must have ability to bend, twist, and stretch arms above head and walk or stand for long periods of time
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have standard visual acuity (correctable by prescription glasses or contacts meets the requirement) and have the ability to distinguish colors.
- Hearing with or without correction is required.
- Must have sufficient hand/eye coordination.
- Perform inspection of Anodize Type I, IC, II both Class 1 and 2 for visual thickness, when required, per customer specification, inspection conformation (inspection of soft spots), and color-matching.
- Work overtime, when required (including weekends), on short notice.
- Must have essential computer skills with working knowledge of Excel software.
- I nspect products and/or documents at various stages of production to validate processes and provide documentation required to show compliance to the Sonaca-NA Quality System.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred.
- Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
