Summary of Essential Functions Full-time faculty teach 2 courses per semester, ranging from introductory First Year courses to senior thesis-level coursework.

Plan and schedule all BDes Interior Design courses, coordinating course outcomes with the online program coordinator and working with the Registrar's Office Team to get courses published in the catalog and appropriately scheduled
Identify adjunct faculty to teach fall 2026, spring 2027, and fall 2027 BDes Interior Design courses
Collaborate on curriculum and accreditation work with the Academic Program Lead and Dean of the School of Creative and Professional Studies for the online version of the Bdes in Interior Design
Teach a range of courses in interior design, including both foundational and advanced topics.
Specifically help teach and continue to create new interior design courses.
Continuously improve and implement a curriculum that integrates interior design principles with emerging technologies and practices.
Work towards CIDA (Council for Interior Design) Certification for the program.
Maintain an active professional practice and/or research agenda that informs teaching and contributes to the field.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

A graduate degree (MFA, MA, Mdes, PhD) in Interior Design
Proven track record facilitating collaborative teamwork
Knowledgeable about contemporary practices and theory and their relationship to broader social, cultural, economic, scientific, and technological contexts
Reporting to this position: Part-time faculty.
