Responsibilities

  • The Residential Assistant will guide and monitor clients in the planning and execution of daily living tasks and provide support with the implementation of treatment plans.
  • Maintains any client equipment utilized within the residence.
  • Performs general cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Maintains all equipment in safe working conditions and reports broken or faulty equipment to supervisor.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process.

  • The RA will also provide support services to follow through with the implementation of client treatment plans.
  • The RA will perform vital signs and provide cues for client self-administration of medications as directed by nurse/MD.

Requirements

  • Attends required meetings and required facility events.
  • CPR or BLS certification required.
  • Attendance is required at assigned staff meetings and required facility events.

Nice to have

  • Certified Nursing Assistant/ PCT, nursing school students with one (1) semester of clinical instruction preferred.
  • Some potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of routine office equipment such as fax and printer.
