Responsibilities
- Develop detailed designs and calculations for water, sanitary, storm, and drainage infrastructure in accordance with municipal and provincial standards.
- Prepare engineering drawings, design reports, technical memos, and cost estimates.
- Support preparation of tender documents, including specifications and quantities.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction support during project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and registration as P.Eng. with a recognized Provincial engineering association
- 4+ years of experience in municipal engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Experience with underground infrastructure design (water, sanitary, storm, drainage).
- Strong understanding of municipal standards, design guidelines, and permitting processes.
- Assist project managers with scheduling, budgeting, and client communication as required.
Nice to have
- 6+ years of experience in municipal engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Ability to interpret survey data, geotechnical reports, and utility information.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and municipal inspection procedures
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other civil design platforms
- Familiarity with hydraulic modeling tools such as WaterCAD and SWMM
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work
