About the role

Responsibilities

  • General Ledger Management: Own the full-cycle accounting process, including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations.
  • Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead close processes, performing variance analysis, and resolving discrepancies to deliver clean, reliable financials.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with leadership to develop budgets, financial plans, and ad hoc reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to drive operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaboration and Vendor Management: Collaborate globally with our outside financial team.
  • Compliance & Tax: Awareness of federal, state, and local tax regulations; assist with tax preparation, filings, and audit support.

Requirements

  • To ensure success, you should have extensive experience with full-cycle accounting, financial analysis, and process improvement.
  • 3+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience with increasing responsibility
  • experience with project-based accounting or revenue recognition
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, ERP platforms Sage, Brex, and Bill.com
  • Proven ability to identify financial trends, resolve discrepancies, and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, ERP platforms Sage, Brex, and Bill.com

Compensation

  • $75,000 - $105,000 USD
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
