Responsibilities
- The Senior Modern Workplace Engineer plays a key role in the design, delivery, and ongoing support of cloud-based productivity and collaboration services across the organisation.
- This position supports both tactical execution and strategic modernisation initiatives, contributing to operational excellence, automation, and long-term platform sustainability.
- Support the lifecycle management, governance, and optimisation of collaboration and productivity platforms.
- Develop, maintain, and refine automation scripts and processes to support cloud deployments, configuration management, and ongoing operations.
- Perform testing and validation of cloud services, platform updates, and upgrades prior to production rollout.
- Partner closely with Identity & Access Management (IAM) and security teams to ensure appropriate security controls, access governance, and compliance across cloud environments.
- Document design, security controls, and operational standards to support audits and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with business stakeholders and internal technology teams to determine how Modern Workplace services can best support business objectives.
- Leads and contributes to projects involving Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Intune, and related cloud platforms, including testing and validation of server and software upgrades.
