About the role
- Provides trainer coverage of athletic activities, organizes orthopedic clinics, advises on prevention and care of athletic injuries, and team-teaches athletic training classes.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Head AT with the hiring, training and supervision of assistant athletic trainers, graduate assistant athletic trainers and all athletic training support personnel.
- Maintain adequate injury, treatment and rehabilitation records.
- Manage with the HEAD AT the CPR requirements for all staff members of the athletics department.
- An appreciation of a culturally diverse student population; ability to initiate and manage services and programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- NATA/BOC certification required
- Maryland License in athletic training required
- CPR certified required
- Some overnight and weekends required.

Compensation
- Work with Head AT on the submission of an annual budget request.

- Game and practice coverage (emergency care) as necessary.
- Counsel student-athletes to seek appropriate medical assistance and/ or surgery.
- Assist Head AT, athletic administration, and coaches in the development of an educational program geared to improving the social awareness of the student athletes.
