About the role
- With a diverse collection of animals and a commitment to wildlife preservation, we provide engaging experiences for visitors of all ages.
- This role may occasionally require lifting or moving materials up to 25 pounds and walking across Zoo grounds or attending outdoor events in varying weather conditions.
- Visual and auditory acuity are necessary for digital media work, presentations, and public speaking.
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional conduct at all times and consistently model the organization's values in all interactions with colleagues, guests, and stakeholders.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Actively promote and sell Zoo picnic and group rental opportunities through inbound leads, networking, and outbound calls/emails.
- Generating leads for outside sales representatives.
- Manages corporate discount programs and affiliate stores.
- Manages bulk ticket programs.
- General office duties such as supply management, phone duty, copying, filing, mailings, and computer support as needed.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - confidential support services for mental, emotional, and financial well-being.
Requirements
- Ability to self-direct work tasks while ensuring safety and productivity.
- Must be energetic, result and detail oriented, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Must be proficient in Excel and Word.
- This position primarily operates in a professional office environment and requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, as well as frequent use of a computer and other office equipment.
- The candidate for this role must have the ability to operate golf cart or RTV vehicle.
- Travel may be required for meetings, conferences, and public engagements.
