About the role
- By owning the full engineering lifecycle, from raw concept and prototyping to secure production, we eliminate the "valley of death" seams that slow down innovation.
Responsibilities
- Automation - Embrace total automation for system administration and daily operational tasks - able to create program, write scripts, setup monitoring dashboards to operate efficiently and independently.
- Technical Operations: Support containerized environments (Kubernetes/Docker) and ensure network security through firewall configuration and compliance monitoring (NIST/CMMC).
- Leadership & Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users within Google Workspace, managing accounts and troubleshooting access issues.
- Service Continuity: Lead disaster recovery planning, asset tracking, and system optimization through automated deployment and proactive monitoring.
- Proven experience in IT support, systems engineering, or network operations, ranging from entry-level to established management expertise.
- Support containerized environments (Kubernetes/Docker) and ensure network security through firewall configuration and compliance monitoring (NIST/CMMC).

Requirements
- CMMC level 2 compliance initiatives aligned with NIST 800-171 controls Physical and virtual servers, experience with virtualization (using Proxmox), specifically with Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, Rocky Linux)

- U.S. Citizenship required
- must be Secret eligible, with Active TS/SCI preferred for senior scopes.
- Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required
- B.S. in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred (minimum High School diploma/GED).
Skills
- IT Operations Manager Aberdeen, Maryland; Hybrid 4+ days per week onsite.
- Travel to other Maryland locations (Havre de Grace & Annapolis Junction) as needed.
Compensation
- $171k-$800k
