Responsibilities

  • The Global Markets Accounting Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our rapidly expanding prime services business.
  • This individual will be responsible for overseeing all brokerage related accounting and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading the design, documentation, and implementation of policies, processes, and controls.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related accounting experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting experience and/or in a fast paced startup/Fintech environment.

Nice to have

  • You have worked at or with investment advisors or institutional investment funds.
  • You have SOX compliance experience.
  • Experience working in Netsuite and G-suite.
  • Experience accounting for digital asset prime brokerage services.
  • You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system.:)

Skills

  • Resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways, suggesting different potential approaches and adapting to new circumstances rapidly.
  • Apply advanced skills in Google Sheets to efficiently and reliably work with large data sets.
  • Proven ability to account for complex matrix organizational structures and intercompany transactions.

  • Assist with internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • You may be a fit for this role if you have:
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology and the crypto economy.
  • Experience accounting for digital assets, prime brokerage services, digital asset borrowing/ lending, and/or derivatives.
  • NFA Series 3 License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
