About the role

  • About UCode: UCode teaches young adults, 6-17 how to write software through an engaging project-based curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Center Director to maintain positive relationships with parents and students that uphold high standards of excellence in operations and customer service. We all must work together to provide the UCode Experience and deliver results!
  • Continued professional development - develop/learn new pedagogies to increase student achievement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to build productive business relationships

Requirements

  • Must be independent and a self-starter who strives for personal and team growth
  • You enjoy working with kids of all ages
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to guide others
  • Ability to bring an upbeat, high energy attitude to any event
  • Knowledge of coding and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science &/or Mathematics (or similar degree) is required to apply!

Nice to have

  • Must be knowledgeable and understand various coding languages- minimum of Scratch/HTML/CSS. (JavaScript, Java, Elm, and/or Haskel a plus).
  • Relevant teaching experience and/or leadership skills preferred, but not mandatory

Compensation

  • Salary up to $80/hr with the right background & experiences.
