About the role
- CesiumAstro considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
Responsibilities
- Own PCB designs for power supply modules and mixed-signal cards from beginning to end, including conducting design reviews for component placement, routing, and fabrication file reviews for DFM, DFC, and DFT.
- Perform complex digital, analog and power electronics PCB design in Altium Designer, working closely with power electronics, manufacturing, and mechanical design engineers.
- Participate in full product lifecycle development from board design to release into manufacturing and production support.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar.
- +7 years of experience as a PCB Designer.
- Strong experience with Altium Designer.
- Strong experience with PCB design with a focus on digital and power electronics.
- Experience with shielding and PCB design to mitigate EMI and crosstalk.
- Knowledge of current density requirements for high current circuits, including strong understanding of via selection and power/ground plane design to meet signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management.
- Experience with high-reliability, aerospace, and/or IPC Class 3 designs.
- Strong experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), design for cost (DFC), and design for testability (DFT).
