About the role

  • They help minimize maintenance costs, improve aesthetics, and increase energy efficiency.
  • Through our brands Hempel, Neogard, Crown Paints, Wattyl and Farrow & Ball, we provide solutions for the Marine, Energy, Infrastructure and Decorative industries.
  • This position requires the ability to work in a laboratory environment which can include solvents, dust and other chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily QC tests for production batches and incoming raw materials per established test procedures and work instructions accurately and timely to meet delivery commitment
  • Develop batch adjustments to meet Hempel quality standards
  • Promptly document color data
  • Maintain and store color draw downs in database

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of basic chemistry and algebra
  • Minimum 1 year of analytical lab or paint experience
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to operate in a cross-functional atmosphere
  • Update batch status and enter results into software as required

Nice to have

  • ERP system experience and color-matching software preferred
