About the role

  • Overwatch Construction Management is looking for an experienced Sr.
  • Resident Engineer to oversee transportation/transit construction projects and serve as a key liaison between contractors, clients, and project management teams.
  • Salary Range: $200,000-$215,000 Project Start Date: July 1, 2026 Project Duration: 24 months Full-time, on-site position.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Prepare daily reports, documentation, and maintain project records.
  • Support change order management and claims resolution process.

Requirements

Nice to have

  • Monitor project progress, schedule, and budget, reporting status and issues to project managers.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical and site-related issues.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role in construction management, preferrably on transit projects Strong knowledge of construction practices, codes, and standards.
  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working on large-scale civil, infrastructure, or commercial projects is preferred.

Compensation

  • $200,000-$215,000 Project Start Date: July 1, 2026 Project Duration: 24 months Full-time, on-site position.
