About the role

  • Our teams take on challenging projects that keep communities safe, supply chains moving, and the country connected.
  • The Project Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety programs on heavy civil construction projects.
  • This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans.
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for project personnel.
  • Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to integrate safety into all phases of construction.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and records.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
  • Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb.
  • some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required
  • ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30 are highly desirable.
  • Highly knowledgeable in all aspects of civil construction.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Working Conditions
  • Travel: This position is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Construction Site Environment: Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.
  • Office Environment: Extensive sitting at desk and computer

Nice to have

  • Five plus years of experience in a construction safety supervisorial role in heavy civil construction.
