  • What You Will Contribute: The Logistics Specialist is responsible for executing inbound and outbound transportation activities, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Customer Service, Credit, and Planning to ensure order readiness and validate customer site capabilities.
  • Perform CTPAT Tier III security procedures including seal verification, 7-point inspections, and documentation checks.
  • Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to manage shipment planning and execution.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Support SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) performance objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping regulations.
  • Experience using transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Intermediate understanding of logistics concepts, planning tools, and software (MRP, WMS, TMS) required
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Nice to have

  • High School Degree/GED required
  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving or a related field desired
  • DGD/IATA certification (air required

  • Warehouse operations experience (racking, material handling equipment).
