Responsibilities
- Lead all maintenance activities, including repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment installations, facility maintenance, and capital projects.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Manage maintenance and capital budgets while tracking expenditures and project costs.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Plant Leadership to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
- Drive equipment reliability, downtime reduction, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, and technical data.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop maintenance team members.
- Lead 5S and workplace organization initiatives.
- In this role, you will lead maintenance operations across the plant, ensuring equipment reliability, facility performance, and workplace safety.
- You'll have the opportunity to drive continuous improvement initiatives, lead capital projects, develop talent, and play a key role in supporting production and operational success.
Requirements
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading maintenance teams and managing contractors.
- Experience managing capital projects and maintenance budgets.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability.
- Required use of PPE as needed.
- College diploma or university degree required.
Nice to have
- Experience in ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 environments.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) is an asset.
