About the role

  • The Supervisor, Medical Referrals works within, prescribed guidelines and procedures.
  • You will use judgment, requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems.
  • The Supervisor, Medical Referrals gathers and communicates all relative information and preparation instructions to patient and referring providers.

Responsibilities

  • Additionally, the Supervisor collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach.
  • Perform escalated or more complex similar work, and supervise a group of typically support and technical associates; coordinates and provide daily oversight to associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or 4.
  • Experience in ICD-9, ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences
  • Required Qualifications

Compensation

  • The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
  • The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
  • $65,200 - $89,000 per year
  • This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
  • This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.

Benefits

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or 4 - 6 years in a physician office, health care, or managed care environment
  • Certified Medical Coder with one of the following active certifications and with a high degree of competency (CPC, CPC-H, or CPMA from AAPC; or CCA, CCSP, CCS from AHIMA)
