About the role
- As a Driver Trainee, you will participate in the Driver Training Program while performing the duties of a Freight Handler on a regular basis.
- To complete the program, you must complete 8 hours behind the wheel of a Company truck and 25 hours of yard training, while being observed/trained.
- Yard training includes training on pre-trip inspections, proper use of control, hooking/unhooking, and backing.
Requirements
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including drivers' l og, records of roadside inspections, mileage records, and other records required by law.
- be at least 21 years old
- have the ability to satisfactorily pass background check and alcohol and drug test with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- and have a willingness and ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with Hazmat Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement, and Doubles/Triples Endorsement.
Compensation
- $33.35-$34.50 Per Hour (pay may vary based on location)
