About the role
- We are seeking a Software Engineering Co-op to join our Engineering team.
- You will work on both front-end and back-end development while collaborating with engineers across hardware and software teams.
- Contribute to backend API development and system architecture
Responsibilities
- Develop front-end web interfaces for the battery management system (BMS) cloud portal
- Design and implement database schemas to support platform functionality
- Develop unit tests and integration tests to ensure system reliability and stability
- Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and reusability
- Collaborate with engineers across hardware and software teams to support product development
- Strong preference for students with Design Team or previous co-op experience
- Collaborate closely with passionate co-founders and a team committed to innovation and excellence.
- Contribute to building and scaling a company from the ground up, where your work will have a direct and meaningful impact.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience with modern web development frameworks and tools
Skills
- Hands-on experience developing software for real-world energy infrastructure
- Exposure to cloud platforms, IoT systems, and hardware-software integration
- Mentorship from experienced software and systems engineers
- The opportunity to contribute to technology supporting the clean energy transition
- Help integrate energy storage hardware with cloud services and IoT infrastructure
- Basic understanding of databases and data modeling
- Interest in cloud platforms, IoT systems, and connected hardware
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
