About the role

  • The ELD teacher reports to the School Leader and will facilitate push-in and pull-out lessons using research-based ELD standards-aligned curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an open line of communication with families
  • Work to maintain a positive culture on campus by building strong relationships with students and staff members
  • At KIPP Public Schools Northern California, there is a need for intensive English Language support for all of our multilingual learners.
  • Possess strong content area knowledge and skills building relationships with students, families, and communities

Nice to have

  • Hold a B.A/B.S degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Meet one of the following eligibility requirements:
  • Hold a valid teaching credential in the subject of your desired role, or
  • Eligibility for a Provisional Internship Permit, or
  • Eligibility for a Short Term Staff Permit
  • Experience as an educator teaching Black and Brown students for one or more years (preferred)
  • Spanish or Vietnamese speaking (preferred)
