About the role

  • Title:Census Strategist Reports to: Chief of Staff Employment Status: Full Time/Exempt Salary: $95,481 ($3,978.37 per pay period) Location: This position is based in New York City, with occasional travel within NYS.
  • This position is hybrid with a requirement to work 4 days a week from the office and 1 day remote.
  • About the Organization The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) is an umbrella policy and advocacy organization for nearly 200 groups in New York State.

Responsibilities

  • We represent the collective interests of New York's diverse immigrant communities and organizations and devise solutions to advance them; advocate for laws, policies, and programs that lead to justice and opportunity for all immigrant groups; and build the power of immigrants and the organizations that serve them to ensure their sustainability, to improve people's lives, and to strengthen our state.
  • Maintain and monitor internal project plan, timeline and goals, ensuring program deliverables are being met in a timely fashion and supporting changes as needed should deliverables shift.
  • Create one pagers, talking points and other documents and content for internal or external use by key stakeholders, as needed.

Compensation

  • $95,481 ($3,978.37 per pay period) In addition to a competitive salary, NYIC offers a full benefit plan, unlimited paid time off after 90 days of employment, Flexible spending account, commuter benefits and a comprehensive retirement plan. *The NYIC has a transparent and equitable salary structure.
  • Starting salaries for each position are set in advance with no room for negotiation.
