Responsibilities
- Work with the Lead UX Designer and other stakeholders to create a cohesive, player-first experience
- Create wireframes and iterate on UI and UX systems and features
- Support bug fixes, implementation and UI layout creation using Unreal Engine and UEFN
- Participate in playtests to observe the effectiveness of UI usability, and collaborate with your lead and other stakeholders to improve user experiences
- Collaborate with other developers to design and build user interfaces that enhance the players gameplay experience
- Write, update, and maintain detailed design documentation
- Have familiarity with developing products on various gaming platforms - Console/PC and Mobile
- Have a special appreciation of Disney's IP, including characters and lore, linear media and movie franchises, theme parks design, and overall aesthetics
- Enjoy creative problem-solving and building something new and innovative
- Understand best practices to create smooth and engaging user experiences
Skills
- 5 years of game development experience, including at least one shipped game
- Developed content using Unreal Engine and/or UEFN
- Comfortable working in an iterative, feedback-driven team environment
- Strong team collaboration skills, working with designers and engineers to ensure the best user experience
- Have experience creating UI mockups and wireframes using Figma
- Can communicate and understand what makes a clean, friendly, and engaging UI for games
- Able to communicate effectively with other teams and groups
Compensation
- The hiring range for this remote position is $100,100 to $154,300 per year, which factors in various geographic regions.
