About the role
- The homesite for this position will be Palmerston & District Hospital.
- The Respiratory Therapist makes decisions and accepts responsibility for all aspects of Respiratory patient care in accordance with Departmental, Hospital(s) and Legislative Standards that govern the profession.
- The Respiratory Therapist is primarily responsible in a clinical role for the assessment, treatment, education and management of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Requirements
- Degree in Respiratory Therapy from Approved School
- Excellent working knowledge and experience with all aspects of core competencies within Respiratory Therapist role
- Demonstrated knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice
- Current Certificate of Competence with CRTO
- Current BCLS and NRP essential.
- Good working knowledge of related hospital processes, procedures and policies (i.e. Code of Ethics, Occupational Health and Safety)
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Nice to have
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required
- Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
- Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- $46.35 - $54.22 per hour

Compensation
