About the role
- Installing and/or maintaining vendor supplied software packages using SMP/E.
- Debugging problems where systems software may be involved.
Responsibilities
- Our group of caring associates create financial security by helping individuals and businesses make a new start when a loss occurs.
- Providing technical support to applications programming and other support areas in the use of systems software.
- Changing operating system settings/options to support business needs and to optimize performance.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate would have experience with z/OS systems software installation, maintenance and administration with experience in the role of team leader or project coordinator.
- Ability to work with people in a team environment.
- Ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas verbally and in writing.
- Please note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without a sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Coursework with emphasis in computer science techniques is also preferred.
- Experience in CICS installation/administration preferred.
Skills
- Defining and programming software routines using established mainframe programming languages.
- The individual should have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
