About the role
- The APC serves as a clinical role model and resource for health center staff.
- This position is primarily based in our Boston office and requires regular travel to our Marlborough, Worcester and Springfield locations.
- Provide high-quality sexual and reproductive health care following PPFA, PPLM, and Massachusetts guidelines.
Responsibilities
- They partner with leadership and colleagues to promote a positive, collaborative workplace and ensure consistent follow-up and referral care according to PPLM standards.
- Deliver key services: contraception (IUDs, implants), STI testing/treatment, pregnancy care, medication abortion, and gender-affirming hormone therapy.
- Manage labs, referrals, and follow-up care to ensure safe, coordinated treatment.
- Educate patients and support informed, judgment-free care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with MA DPH, OSHA, CLIA, and Title X standards.
Requirements
- ✅ Ability to provide compassionate, inclusive care to diverse populations.
- ✅ Ability to lift 30 lbs and remain active throughout the shift.
- ✅ Active Massachusetts license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), or Physician Assistant (PA).
- ✅ Current DEA registration, MA Controlled Substance Registration, and BLS/CPR certification.
- ✅ Ability to travel between multiple work locations as needed.
- ✅ Strong clinical background in sexual and reproductive health.
- ✅ Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- ✅ Comfortable using electronic health records and basic computer tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
