About the role
- BigID is growing quickly, and we are expanding our Services team and seeking a Professional Services Engineer in the EST time zone.
- This position also works to identify the root cause of any deployment issues and works with the larger team to help resolve them to ensure the success of the customer.
- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role, ideally in product implementation or hands-on deployment within enterprise environments
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand technical requirements and align them to business objectives
- Plan and lead implementation engagements - deploying solution components and configuring the product to meet each client's specific environment
- Collaborate across internal teams and client organizations to ensure smooth rollout and successful integration of BigID solutions
- Deliver technical training tailored to the audience, from hands-on admins to executive stakeholders
- Identify root causes of deployment issues and drive them to resolution
- Work closely with Engineering and Product Management to document field issues, enhancement requests, and opportunities to improve the implementation process
- Proven experience across the full solution lifecycle: problem identification, system architecture, hardware/software specification and design, implementation, testing, client training, and deployment
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployments
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Programming or scripting proficiency in Java or Python
- Working knowledge of one or more databases: MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, or IBM DB2
- Experience with a major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Must be able to exercise independent judgment with little or no oversight.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Hadoop (Hive/Spark)
- Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Privacy, and/or Data Security Posture Management tools.
- Prior SaaS implementation experience

Compensation
- The annual base salary range is $105,000 - $135,000.
