About the role
- Champion innovative solutions that enhance the usability and engagement with discovery features
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver well-scoped full stack product feature milestones that help creators create content on Patreon.
- Drive technical design of components that are scalable, well tested and are easy to maintain
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, designers, and other engineers to deliver high quality features.
- Build a strong product-minded engineering culture by mentoring and guiding engineers
- We own Patreon Live, Chats, Comments, Reactions, Drops, and emerging collaboration features, the social layer that makes Patreon a place fans want to return to every day.
- We operate across iOS, Android, Web, and Backend, partnering closely with Product, Design, Data, and Trust & Safety to build experiences that are engaging, safe, and deeply meaningful within niche fandoms.
- Build with Craft | We sign our name to every deliverable, just like the creators we serve.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Experience with React, next.js, Typescript or Javascript
- Experience with Python or a similar language
- Experience with SQL.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or the equivalent professional experience
