About the role

  • The Service Technician at Pref-Tech will be responsible for will be responsible for servicing and troubleshooting access control, IP-based and analog video management systems, auto-gate equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate any hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.
  • We continuously develop our knowledge and transfer that knowledge to each other, our customers, and our vendors.
  • Pref-Tech maintains a drug-free workplace and conducts random drug screenings as part of our commitment to safety and compliance.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid TX Driver's License.
  • Must have 5 or more years in relevant access control installation, service and configuration.
  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or
  • Currently licensed or must have the ability to immediately obtain TXDPS Security License.
  • Willingness to work from a bucket truck as required for installations and maintenance.

  • Our office hours are from Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is no set schedule for field personnel as work scheduled vary depending on client needs.
  • Physical Requirement:
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.

  • 401K Safe Harbor Plan with matching dollar-for-dollar up to 4% of annual gross salary (Traditional and Roth options available)
