About the role
- The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Trainee will learn and demonstrate the mastery of compounding and filling medication orders, deliveries to patient care and ancillary areas, managing technology including Carousel and Pyxis.
- Other relevant education or work experience may be considered.
Responsibilities
- The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Trainee performs those duties, which do not require the professional training and judgment of a pharmacist.
- The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Trainee learns and demonstrates the ability to maintain effective workflow within the department when staffing as expeditor.
Nice to have
- Certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) needed for promotion within the Pharmacy Technician
- Trainee will register with the State of Vermont Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician before the start of employment.
- Inpatient pharmacy technician experience or minimum of one year retail pharmacy technician work experience preferred.
- This is a bargaining union position.
Compensation
- Salary Range: Min $21.22 Mid $27.35 Max $33.47
