About the role
- Metrology Technician is responsible for performing routine calibrations, tests and/or inspections in-lab or on-site using accredited standards and taking care of the day-to-day escalations and priority requests.
- Calibrations, tests and inspections may be performed with and/or without automation.
- This position is in Deer Valley, Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate standards used in calibrations and maintain equipment to established performance standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma with 7+ years of experience in the field, OR associate's degree in engineering technology or a relevant field with 5+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, including Excel.
- Calibration of metrology lab standards as required.
- The position requires fluency in calibration, test, and/or inspection procedures and processes, and hands-on experience with setting up test equipment calibration systems.
- Metrology Technician may be required to provide assistance to entry level technicians as they learn new measurement procedures and processes.
Nice to have
- Experience with IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, and Met/Cal systems.
- Familiarity with laboratory measurement and calibration equipment.
- Experience in calibration of mass and weights, and/or the use of mass comparators.
