About the role

This includes planning, organizing and implementing standards-aligned lessons, activities, and assessments.
Work is performed under the supervision of the principal.
Intellectual Prep and Delivery of Instruction

Teachers collaborate across grade levels and departments to provide a rigorous academic program.
Implement and execute the adopted Grow Public Schools Units of Study and high-quality instructional materials
Prepare and implement integrated lessons that lead to deep student understanding based on state standards
Assess student progress and maintain accurate standards-based grading records, utilizing various student information management systems and technology platforms
Maintain frequent communication with scholars, scholars' families, colleagues, and school leaders (both in-person and virtually)

A CA state Multiple or Single subject teaching credential or intern credential, with an English Learner Authorization as required by the state of California
Proficiency with various technologies and teaching tools

In addition, teachers will work collaboratively with coaches, instructional support staff, the Edible Schoolyard team, and learning lab staff to ensure that school wide goals are met.
Develop a classroom learning environment that reflects the school's core values and schoolwide expectations in order to emphasize a college-going culture
Collaborate with education specialists, learning lab staff, and Small Group Instructors (SGIs) to implement students' Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs), and integrate online learning platforms based on student need
