Responsibilities
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda.
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
- E-file court documents in federal and state court.
- Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
- Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
- Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery.
- From attorneys in all 50 states, to client support staff, creative marketing to operations teams, every member of our firm has a key role to play in the winning fight for consumer rights.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
- Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices.
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred).
