Responsibilities

  • Drive spikes and secure track components
  • Adjust, inspect, and maintain track switches
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities safely and effectively

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Previous railroad or construction experience is helpful but not required for candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Overtime may be required based on operational needs
  • Moderate to heavy physical labor required
  • Required use of personal protective equipment
  • Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment at all times
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Strong attendance and dependability required
