About the role
- Supports the development, evaluation, and validation of Subaru vehicle safety performance, especially for crashworthiness and preventive safety (e.g., Advanced Driver Assistance Systems [ADAS]). Supports Subaru development by documenting and attending relevant conferences/meetings, reviewing and analyzing safety test data, and analyzing real-world accident
- data. Provides engineering support as point of contact for meetings and/or negotiation with entities including test centers such as Transportation Research Center Proving Grounds (TRC) and regulatory agencies such as Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), etc. Attends research and compliance
