- This person will be a key member of the hardware development team connecting working with software and algorithm development teams.
Responsibilities
- Code, maintain, and test software modules of significant size and complexity
- Create software tools to aid in code building and maintenance
- Creating PCB hardware designs around embedded DSPs for real-time telecommunications applications
- Perform testing analysis and verification of hardware and software
- Support Senior Engineers on multiple simultaneous projects
- Collaborate with the algorithm, application, and hardware development team members to ensure requirements are being met
- Designing, developing, and testing real-time systems (signal processing algorithms) using C.
- Perform hands-on disassembly and make experimental modifications
- Perform testing and report on the capabilities of technologies in development.
- Support Senior Engineers in providing solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements
Requirements
- Familiarity with C/C++ programming languages
- Experience in both Windows and Linux environments
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Theoretical knowledge of the EM principles and digital signal processing
- Proficiency in electronics design (EDA) tools
- Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.
- Experience using IDEs, debuggers, reading schematics and performing board-level debugging
- Experience in inter-processor communication, GPIO configurations, interrupt handling, I2C, SPI, I2C, DMAs, etc.
- Experience with RTOS, embedded firmware, drivers, and interfaces
- Knowledge of C programming language
