About the role
- Title: Payroll Specialist Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt Reports to: Payroll and Billing Supervisor This role offers a hybrid work schedule.
- After training, team members generally work on-site 1-2 days per week, with the possibility of additional in-office days during special projects.
- Ensures accuracy of payroll. - Assist other payroll department team members during vacations, and work overloads as needed. - Assist field employees and operations as needed. - Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Working knowledge of the company's policies and procedures.
- Ability to read, assimilate, and recall with marked proficiency facts, figures, and to search for and obtain information where needed.
- Must be skilled in the use of office equipment.
- Microsoft Office product knowledge or the ability to obtain is necessary.
- Knowledge of all confidentiality requirements regarding employee records.

- Update employee records with amended information (ex: vacation, hours, address changes, etc.) Maintain personnel files for employees and payroll and billing records.
- Handle various payroll adjustments (shortages, garnishments, manual computation of gross and net pay, vacation pay, bonuses, incentives, etc.) after verifying with the appropriate supervisor.
