  • By empowering the shift from reactive analysis to proactive, predictive intelligence and decision support, Rhombus Power is providing foresight and freedom of action when it matters most.
  • Design and implement front-end components using React, ensuring a seamless user experience for web applications.
  • Develop back-end components using Node.js, writing scalable and efficient code.
  • Collaborate with the UX/UI team to implement user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Implement automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Rhombus compensates, motivates, and develops employees, who are trusted, empowered, and involved.

Requirements

  • Candidates holding either a bachelors or masters degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related discipline are highly desired for this role.
  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development with a strong focus on React and Node.js.
  • Previous experience with MVC (Model View Controller) design patterns, preferably CodeIgnitor (CI) PHP framework.
  • The ability to get up to speed on CI framework is highly desired.
  • Candidates holding either a bachelors or masters degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related discipline are highly desired for this role. PhD's are highly desirable!
  • Strong system design skills with experience architecting scalable, high-performance software systems.
  • Exceptional knowledge of PHP (Back end), MySQL, relational database design, and able to pull data from databases/design user tables.
  • Strong familiarity with HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, version control systems (Git, SVN), and Linux based web hosting systems/command-line interfaces.
  • Previous experience with MVC (Model View Controller) design patterns, preferably CodeIgnitor (CI) PHP framework. The ability to get up to speed on CI framework is highly desired.
  • Awareness and understanding of product technical constraints, resources, scalability constraints, and security principles
  • Personality Traits:
  • Has deep empathy for the end user and is excited to talk to customers to reach a deep understanding of requirements.
  • Able to take customer requests and feedback and turn them into technical requirements for our product roadmap.
  • Can verbalize several proposed solutions for a given problem. Earnest to collaborate, but defaults to action and can autonomously figure out the solution to a problem!

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.

Compensation

  • The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000/year
