About the role
- We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join Spacial for Summer 2026.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and ship features on the Spacial website
- Help design and improve internal tools and workflow automations that increase speed and efficiency across teams
- Support LLM- and AI-powered initiatives that can be applied across various parts of the business, including go-to-market, operations, customer workflows, and internal knowledge systems
- Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and leadership on cross-functional projects
- Support debugging, QA, and deployment of new features and internal systems
- Building new user-facing features and improvements for the Spacial website
- Supporting LLM-based workflows for research, operations, customer support, or go-to-market efforts
- Experimenting with AI tooling to reduce manual tasks and support faster decision-making
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Interest in AI, LLMs, and practical software development
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Interested in gaining exposure to the many functions involved in building and running a startup
Nice to have
- Exposure to backend development and APIs
- Exposure to applied AI and LLM-based workflows
- Opportunity to work closely with a startup team and contribute to meaningful projects
- Mentorship from experienced engineers and operators
- Summer 2026 (10-12 weeks)
- Must be able to commute to our office in Palo Alto, CA
